Gotta have...

Ali Edwards had a fun challenge on her newsletter this week...to create a layout about the extras that are delighting us and making us want to create :) So fun!
So here's mine...and this is kinda pathetic, but I printed my pictures on white cardstock because I am snowed in and am out of photo paper! ha ha! Am I the only one who's ever done that? :) I hope not!

Inspiration

Last night I was really wanting to scrap, but couldn't think of any ideas....so I started looking through Elsie's pages on 2 Peas. :) She is such a huge inspiration to me, her work is so fresh and fun!! I love how happy it is. :) So anyways, I cranked up my U2 CD and did my 2nd ever scraplift. (of her "Life is Beautiful" page)

(Come to think of it, the other one was one of her pages too! Hmmm. )

Lately...

Lately I've been finding joy in the small things.... my nightly routine of loading dishes in the dishwasher and washing a little pink load of Katie's clothes :) listening to Katie's little sleeping sounds and checking about a hundred times to make sure she's still breathing (sounds crazy, huh? ha ha) I am seriously loving being at home and spending my days being a mama and wife. :) I want to treasure every second of it.

It's crazy that I actually got really excited about the three of us driving to get a bite to eat and go to the Post Office! haha! It's only the 3rd time I've left the house in 2 weeks though, which is very very different for me.

Introuducing Katie Shae :)

My beautiful baby girl Katie Shae was born January the 4th at 4:00 pm. :) She weighed 8 lbs 3 ounces and is 19 3/4 inches long. We are so in love with her!! Being a mommy is so much better than I could have imagined!!!
I haven't wanted to sleep, eat, or do much of anything but hold my baby!! ha ha
I can't wait to get some of these pics printed out and start scrapping them! :)

2007 is here!! :)

This year I am looking forward to Katie Shae being born, going to work part time after returning from maternity leave, making more time to be with my family and focus on my husband :) and more time to scrapbook! :) I am really excited about the changes that we have coming up, I know that it's going to be a good thing for us. :) I am ready to spend more time focusing on what really matters....more time reading the Bible, more time with my family. Less time running around crazy and working so much. I *love* my job, but it'll be good to be home more. :) Time to breathe, time to be together as a family, time to take lots of pictures of things that make me happy. Balance is the word that keeps coming to mind, I definitely think life will be more balanced for me.
It will be such a blessing! It's amazing how much has changed over the past year.....I never expected to be so blessed.
Life is good :)
