Weekend picture love :)

This weekend was so much fun, and *so* busy! :) Kevin and I took Katie on her first little road trip to see our friends Magan Luke and their new baby Aya! :) Well...she's not really so new I guess, she's 2 months old now! But it's the first time we've seen her. Can you believe that she's almost as big as Katie? And Katie's twice as old as her! :) (Aya is on the left in the top picture)

Their little boy Trenton is getting so big! He's almost a year and a half, and he's such a little man. :) His mouth was covered in chocolate and he wanted to be outside all day, it was cute!
And this last picture is my two sweeties on Mother's Day! :) :) Kevin was so sweet, he set up a picnic in our living room, held Katie's hand and had her "sign" her name on a Mother's Day card, got me some yummy chocolates and way too much money to spend on scrapbook stuff! (Brandi, if you're reading this I'm coming to see you soon, girl!) Speaking of Brandi, I also got my project together for the class I'm teaching at her store here. It should be fun!
I'm getting ready to go back to work tomorrow, ready for another busy week! :)

Dreams can be really weird :)

Know who I dreamed of last night? Nope, not my husband....Joey and Jesse on Full House!!!!! I know what you're thinking, it's crazy! So in the dream I lived in the Tanner house and I was madly in love with Jesse....and Joey was in love with me. Ha ha! Whatever!!!
Joey came up to me all decked out in his hockey gear about to leave for a game and said "Charin, I have to talk to you. Just give me a chance, I love you!" and I said "Oh, Jesse, I'm sorry" and Joey yells "Jesse!?" and Jesse walks in combing his hair and says "what?" Ha ha hah ha!!!!! You would totally have to watch Full House to appreciate this. And yeah, I am a complete nerd! *Someone* needs to quit watching Full House re-runs! :) :)

Hi! :) I *finally* got some new pages done last night! :) And I am noticing a major trend....PINK! :) I can't help it, I absolutely love it. And ummm...apparently I have a new favorite shirt and necklace too, since I was wearing it in the last post as well! :) :)

She loves the park :)

Today was a good day for Katie's first trip to the park we thought. :) She *loved* it!! :) She was very content for about an hour until she started getting too hot.

Kevin and I think that we might be permanently hunched over now though, the handles on her stroller are too low to the ground! :) We are going to try to make this a nightly thing, or at least a couple of times a week. And after seeing my big stomach in the picture up there, I think that's a good thing! Ha! :)
Other than that, I spent my weekend working Saturday morning, grocery shopping and I *finally* got my scrapbook desk cleared off so I can actually use it again! I am so glad about that, I am really wanting to scrap and it's really hard to when you can't lay your page down. :) :)

Hopefully I'll have some new pages to share soon!

So here is my list of ten weird or random things about myself (I could probably think of a lot more! Ha! I'm pretty weird)
1. My name is pronounced "Karen" even though it commonly gets pronounced Sharon, Charmin (yes, like the toilet paper. How would you like to be one letter away from America's favorite toilet paper brand? Haha!) and lots of other variations. Thanks, Mom and Dad! Just kidding, I actually like my name now. :) It's good to be different.
2. I was homeschooled all the way until I graduated.
3. I can sing almost all of the lyrics to any song after I hear it once.
4. I can remember weird things, like what I was wearing on my 5th birthday. I'm not so good memorizing anything important, but if you want to know what you were wearing in 1995 I can help you out. :)
5. I was a ballet dancer when I was younger and absolutely *loved* it! I still wish I was in dancing sometimes.
6. I love reading books that make me cry, especially Nicholas Sparks books . :)
7. I could happily be a vegan if my hubby didn't insist that I eat meat while I was pregnant with Katie and until she's weaned. :)
8. I want to be in a play someday :)
9. My bed has to be made *just right* or I can't sleep!
10. I absolutely love 80's pop music. Love love love it. :)

1. Sunshine :) I love that the days are getting warm and sunny! Love this time of year so much :)
2. I have the day off tomorrow! I am hoping to clean my scrap desk off so I can actually fit a whole 12x12 page on there! ha ha! :)
3. Elsie is coming out with a new book!!! :) I am really excited about that, I read her first one *all* the time. Love her work so much! She's so inspiring.
4. Buttons :) I am pretty much falling in love with using them on my scrapbook pages and cards all over again....never really stopped loving them but lately I have been using them a *ton*! :)
5. My husband because he loves me :)

Look at these cutie babies together! :) My baby Katie is on the right, and her cousin Zoe is on the left. :) I can't believe they're only 3 weeks apart! Zoe just now weighs 8 lbs, and she seems so little to me. :) She is precious.

This was their first time meeting Katie and my first time meeting Zoe. :) We all had fun, slept too little and wished the time went by a little slower. :)

That I *seriously* need some sleep!! Lol! :) I mean, it's totally not normal to get a glass of OJ and put it in the cabinet with the glasses instead of the fridge. Sheesh. :) At least I realized I had done it right away before the juice went bad. :)

I am falling in love with using buttons all over again! :) Not that I ever really quit loving them. :)
I hope everyone had a Happy Easter! Ours was good, we had a little cookout at my in-laws :)
And I am *super* excited, because tomorrow my brother Joel and his wife Brandi are coming up from Louisiana!! :) They have a little girl Zoe that is just 3 weeks younger than Katie that I haven't met yet. :) And I get to see how much their cutie son Gabriel has grown since Thanksgiving. :)
And they're bringing my nieces Keonna and Summer with them! It'll be fun. :) I miss them all soooo much!

Happy mail day :)

I was so excited today, I got my order in from Elsie's Etsy shop. :) I love love love this little bird print that found a happy home on my cluttered refrigerator and this flower pin. :)

Her work inspires me so much because it's so *pure* and happy. :) It reminds me of days spent swinging in a hammock and drinking lemonade. :) Happy stuff :)

So when I got this in today I had to try my hand at painting. :) I used her house painting as my inspiration....and I am so not good at it like she is!!! :) Hope she doesn't mind that I pretty much copied the whole idea. :) But trust me, no one would buy mine! Ha! :) It was lots of fun though.

Papas are the best :)

Kevin and I had a little scheduling nightmare Friday (we both had to work during the day and didn't have anyone to watch Katie) and my sweet Dad offered to come over and watch her since he was off work for Spring Break. :) (He's a teacher)

It was the first time that we've had anyone else watch her, so I was a little nervous....and he could tell!! ha ha He kept telling me, it's ok we'll be fine. :)
So when I came home on lunch I walked in and he was singing to her and had a burp rag over his shoulder. Aww! :) He did such a good job with her. It's so cute to see him with his grandbabies, you can tell that he really loves them. :)

I love weekends :) Kevin and I went shopping for groceries...and then I went into Maurices and found these super cute shoes and earrings! :) Couldn't help myself. If the 80's came back I would be a happy girl! :) Love this look.

I was all excited this weekend because I was going to be off four days in a row. :) I planned to get some scrapbooking done, some cleaning, go out to lunch with my sister.
And today I just happened to look at my work schedule, and I'm off Monday and Tuesday of *next* week!!! Ha ha!! Man, I was disappointed. I'm just glad I looked at it in time! :)
So now I have to go try to find some work clothes to wear, since laundry was also on my list of things to do today. :)

So I'm a *little* bit behind on laundry :)

Tomorrow I am off work and I have a major goal.....fold or hang up all of these clean clothes! I am so messy sometimes, I've just been dumping load after load on my kitchen table and putting Katie's clothes in her crib (which she doesn't sleep in yet, by the way! She's still in her bassinette :) ) So I figured if I put these pictures out there it would help me be inspired to clean it up! :) Ya think it'll work? Here's hoping. :)

Happy Sunday :)

I made it through my first week back at work! :) Thank you for all of your sweet comments. It was pretty rough the first day back, I cried....and Katie cried real tears. :(
But we all three adjusted, and it hasn't been nearly as bad as I was thinking it would be.
I wanted to share our pictures that we just got back today! :) We did these for Katie's one month pics. I thought they turned out pretty cute...even though she slept the whole time! Ha ha. I'm ready to scrap these!
I can't believe that she's two months old today! Man. So hard to believe!
I was thinking today about how much our lives have changed. And definitely all for the better! :)
