Baby cuteness

Lately I have been looking for baby *boy* clothes, bedding...all of it :) And I just wanted to share a few of my finds (and so I can look here later and remember where I saw it!) This cute hat, shoes and set of onesies from Old Navy (although they have the onesies in a monkey print too, which I think would be even cuter!)

This is the bedding set that we're pretty sure we're going to get...it's from Wal*Mart and it's very affordable, only about $80!!

This super cute bib from this etsy shop, how sweet is that?! :) and my favorite of allll, these onesies that my friend Silje made! I love them!! Silje if you're reading this, I hope you stock your Etsy shop with them! :) :) Do any of you have any cute shops/links to share for cute baby boy clothes? :) I had nooo problem at all finding girl stuff when I was expecting Katie, but I think boys are harder!

I have been wanting to share these for awhile! :) (finally got around to scanning them in)
This is my sweet baby! We have gotten several peeks at this baby, with me being so sick they've had to order ultrasounds ahead of the normal scheduled one to find out the sex of the baby.
The first one was taken August 5th, and the bottom one was taken September 5th...I can not *believe* how much the baby has grown from the first one, where he (she?) looked like a little bean! :) You can see the babies sweet little fingers in the bottom one, aww :)
I can't wait to meet this little one and be able to hold him. ♥

In other updates, my doctor put me on a new medicine today..I am really hoping this one does the trick! It's usually used for chemotherapy patients, very very strong.
But safe for the baby, and hopefully it will make my horrible all day and night sickness go away!
I am almost 16 weeks along now, it's kind of hard to believe! I am starting to feel the baby move now some, I absolutely *love* that feeling! ♥

My poor sister Jessica was in a car accident today...we have had the worst luck lately! She had her boys with her, and I know it was so scary. The boys are ok, but she has 3 breaks in her ankle, it was a pretty bad accident. :( I need to make her some food and take it to her this weekend.

Katie played outside in the rain again today, it's her new favorite thing to do :)

Well, I really need to get off of the internet and do some more cleaning on my house, my Mom is coming over tomorrow to watch Katie while I work in the morning. :)
I'm going to go pop some blueberry muffins in the stove and get to cleaning!

We got my car back today :( When the towing company was backing it into the carport Katie looked at it and said "All gone!" She's smarter than she realizes ;)

I have some pictures posted below these that are a little happier.

Dancing in the rain...and other things ;)

Here are the pictures I promised of Katie! ;) She had so much fun...she went from standing underneath our carport reaching her hand out...to getting all of her soaked and laughing the whole time :) I love my precious baby girl!

I will be adding more pictures soon (of my brothers visit here) but I'm going to have to work on getting them edited slowly....I have been having the worst luck lately. Friday on my way to see my doctor I completely didn't see a car when I was pulling onto the highway and got nailed. I think they were going around 50 mph, and it pushed my car across the highway. I was so scared, I didn't see them at all until they hit me. I feel very fortunate though, for several reasons, Katie was not in the car with me, I got out of the wreck with pretty mild injuries, (looking at my car you would think I am a lot worse off) and my baby is OK!

The ambulance came and checked on me, and then I went to the doctors office for them to check the baby. They couldn't find the babies heartbeat at first, so they had an ultrasound done right away, and the baby is perfectly healthy :) My heart rate was 130 from the accident, so the baby was jumping around a lot! Oh, and one more little thing about the baby....they are 85% sure that IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!!! :) :) It's still early for them to say that for sure, I'm 14 weeks along, but they asked me what I wanted, or what I thought I was having, and when I told them I thought it was a boy they said "mmm hmm! It is" :)

So anyway, I have a lot to be thankful for this week. The knot on my head and the bruises all over my left side (the car hit me right in the driver-side door) will go away, and all of the expenses from this will be taken care of. The important things worked out, my family is still all in one piece :)

I can feel it in the air....

Today felt like Fall and that made me soooo happy!!!!! :) :) :)
Today feels like a fresh start and a new season for sure. :)
My brother Joel and his wife Brandi are going to be here until Saturday, and it has been so good to see them! (even though I'm still not feeling the greatest)
Katie has had so much fun playing with her cousins!

A whole lot of random....

Hi :)
I just wanted to share some things that have been going on in my world...

*Still super sick...still have to go to the doctor Friday to see if they'll put me in the hospital or not :(

*I am very, very thankful that my baby is healthy. I had a bad scare this past Friday, my second test of my pregnancy hormone level didn't show that it is as high as it needs to be. They had my come in right away for an ultrasound, which showed that the baby is perfectly healthy! (and growing soooo fast!) They also changed my due date to March 10th, instead of March 18th :) Which means I'm in the second trimester now! :)

* I wasn't feeling up to scrapbooking any lately, which means I wasn't able to enter the KI Memories design team search. I'm really disappointed about that, they're one of my favorites. But my health just hasn't stood for me doing anything fun lately! ;)

*My sweet baby Katie has been extra snuggly and sweet to me lately :) That picture is pretty much how we spent our Labor Day, napping together on the couch! (Thank you Kevin for taking this picture! Makes me smile :) )

*My brother Joel and my sister in law Brandi are coming up tonight to get away from Louisiana while their power is out!! I'm sorry they're having to leave, but I am SO glad I'm going to be able to see them. I miss them every day. I can't wait to see my sweet nephew Gabriel and my beautiful niece Zoe too! Katie will have fun playing with them.

Well...that's about it. :) My life hasn't been too exciting lately!

Hi :)
I just wanted to give a quick baby/pregnancy update :)
I have still been battling really, really bad all day sickness...I've lost 15 lbs. because of it.
My doctor has me on two kinds of medicine, and the newest one does seem to be helping some :)
I was even able to do some house cleaning today on my day off. I felt so accomplished! haha
Lately I haven't been able to do anything extra, just working has been wearing me out.

I had a bit of a scare yesterday with the baby, and my doctor had some blood work ordered for me, to make sure that my pregnancy hormone level was as high as it needs to be at this stage. I got news back that it looks good!! (Thank you, God!!!!) They are testing me again tomorrow, to make sure that the hormone level is getting higher, but that's just procedure.

Now I just need to focus on trying to eat more, and try to drink more fluids to replace what I've been losing. I never would have thought I'd say this, but lately that's been hard! Food doesn't sound very good to me at *all*.

Anyway, just wanted to update all of you who have been asking and checking on me and praying for me and the baby :) I really, really appreciate that.

Oh!!! Something fun, we've finally picked out a girls name! Isabella :) We love it, and we could call her "Bella" for short. I love that Bella means beautiful. We are thinking about using Marie for the middle name, that's both of my Grandmother's middle names so it would be extra special. :)
I still think it might be a boy though! :) We've had his name picked out since the beginning, Colin Wayne. Wayne is Kevin's middle name.

I hope to be back soon with some new pictures of my sweet Katie Shae. I feel bad that I haven't been sharing updates about her lately, I just haven't been up to taking pictures lately.
She's still as precious as ever though. :)

Attention all Jehovah's Witnesses!
(no offense to any of my blog readers that may be Jehovah's Witnesses, but if you are please don't do what these people did today!)
If you have already been to my home and talked to my husband, who told you that we are NOT of these beliefs, do not feel the need to come back to talk to me about it.
And when you ring the doorbell 4 times, it probably means that we are either not home or not available. Please stop ringing the doorbell!
The first hint would be me coming out of the house looking like death (having been sick all day), in lounge clothes and no makeup.
The second hint would be me saying "I'm really sick and not up for company".
The third would be my daughter screaming from the inside of the house wanting me to come back in.
The fourth would be saying "I really need to go back inside and take care of my daughter."
Please show some courtesy and take No for NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so frustrated right now.
But I guess you could tell that :)
P.S. I finally just walked inside after they wouldn't quit talking, that is so unlike me! :)

Hi there :)
First of all I want to thank all of my sweet friends for checking in and seeing how I'm doing, and for sending me messages. I really appreciate that :)
I'm not doing *all* that much better honestly..I am on medicine three times a day to help with the all day morning sickness but I've still lost some more weight and I am having a hard time keeping any food down.
The worst part of this is I feel like poor Katie is really wondering what in the world is wrong with her Mama..she has days where she's really fussy, and that's the days when I am really sick.
That makes me feel like a bad Mama sometimes.
But Kevin has been a big help and he's helping me get through this :)
It won't be long before the first trimester will be over, maybe then I'll be doing better? :)
I hope you are all doing well, if I haven't stopped by to say hi in awhile just know that I haven't forgotten about you! :)

I am going to be a little MIA for awhile...
I am going through a really, really bad bout of all day and night "morning" sickness that is pretty much preventing me from doing anything but lying down and trying to eat one meal a day.
(Baby, I love you and you are worth it! No matter what!)
Anyway, I will still be reading my favorite blogs when or if I can, but I more than likely won't be posting for awhile.
I am trying to get into to see the doctor tomorrow, so maybe (hopefully!) I'll feel better soon.

Wowzers!!!! I've lost seven pounds in just over a week!! Any other time that would be wonderful...but not so much right now. :( My doctor gave me two kinds of medicine to take today and we'll see if that helps.

Wishing for Fall....

I came across these images and they all reminded me of one thing...how ready I am for Fall!!!!!
I love it, it's one of my favorites second only to Spring. :) I'm just so ready for the cooler weather, soup, wearing scarves, pretty colors, hot cocoa, candy apples and the crisp air.
I think Summertime has almost lost it's charm for me. ;)

Etsy love and a baby update :)

Hi! :) Well, I haven't updated in a little while...the morning sickness is definitely starting to set in and I've not been feeling up to doing much once I get off of work. But this weekend I'm not working at the bank and I don't have any photoshoots scheduled, so I'm planning on settling in and watching 1 or 2 of these movies and taking it easy! ;) (as easy as you can with a very active 18 month old! haha) A girl I work with gave me most of these movies, except the last two that I got at my favorite sale, Movie Gallery's buy two get two sale on pre-played DVD's ;)
Have you seen these movies? What were your thoughts? :) I haven't seen a lot of them yet, but I loved 27 dresses and across the universe :)

In baby news, I had another check up today and got our due date. It's March 11th!! :) Seems like *such* a long time from now, but we'll have planning a nursery and several holidays between now and then to make the time go by faster. :) And I really can't complain about the morning sickness...I'm not feeling well but it's so worth it! We can't wait to have a new baby to welcome into our lives :)


I also wanted to share some something pretty wonderful, Rachel has started a new Etsy shop full of vintage goodies and I can't wait to go shopping for some cuteness! I really love the aluminum glasses and tray that I have pictures of here, so cute :) I have a dream of transforming our kitchen into a 50's loving kitsch collection of bright and cute things :) You should come see her shop and look around for yourself! It's like thrift store shopping, except you don't have to look for hours and hours to find the good stuff :) Here's her shop :)

And I also recently came across another really great Etsy shop, Olive Sunday. I got this cute framed vintage print thinking that if we have a boy it could go in his room....and if we have a girl I'm sure I can find another place for it :) And the second print is for you Elsie! :) I thought of you right away, it's a pink pirate ship! I'll be sending it to you soon. :) This Etsy shop really makes me want to go buy some old frames at thrift stores...even the really ugly gold ones, and cover them with some bright paint and give them new life. :) She has so many cute framed prints!

Katie Shae made her very first painting today! :) :)
I've been wanting to let her do this for awhile now, and today I picked up some washable paint and a foam posterboard and watched her *create art*!! Isn't it beautiful? :) We're going to add her name and age to the bottom under her handprints and hang it on her wall :) (or ours...I can't decide which)

I really have been scrapping lately! ;) I haven't shared any new pages on here for awhile, so here's some stuff I've done this past week. :)

I couldn't wait to scrap the picture of Katie's sweet pigtails on the first page! She looks *so* grown up to us when her hair's like that :)

And I wanted to share some happy news! On the "music I love" page I used Angie Delarie stamps, I love using her cute and unique stamps! And the really great news is that I'm on her design team now, so honored! :) I had fun trying to impress my brother in law Randy by telling him that I was on a design team for a company in Australia ;)

The second page is from the latest challenge prompt over at Inspired By Amelie (to tear pictures and use them on a scrap page) and it was really fun! I used a picture of myself so I wouldn't feel too bad about ripping it up! haha

And I made my first page about baby # 2! ♥ :) I made it the night I found out, because I couldn't sleep! Too excited. :)

The last little project was just for fun, I took some odd sized envelopes that I had, punched a hole for the metal ring in them and scrapped on the front, journaled a piece of cardstock for inside the envelope. I love doing little projects that show what I love in that moment in time. :)

P.S. I just realized that I told you about these pages out of order, but blogger's not letting me edit that and I'm too lazy to re-type all of that ;)

Guess what???? :)

I have some beautiful, happy, exciting news to share!!! :) :)
I'M PREGNANT!!!! We are so excited!! We've both been getting "baby fever" again lately, and I think this is the perfect time, Katie will be about 2 years and 3 months when this little one gets here :) I found out on the 7th, just a few hours before my birthday, so that was definitely the best birthday present ever :)

Life...

These past two weeks have been such a crazy mix of good and bad things...my friend losing her husband and the father of her children, seeing my best friend Magan and her family for the first time in over a year, Katie watching her first fireworks and playing in a pool for the first time. My sweet nieces being up from Louisiana, and lots of time with my sister Jessica.
Such a mix of joy and sadness.....it's overwhelmingly sad and happy right now. But, that's life sometimes. We take the good with the bad.
And seeing my sweet babies face every day is such a strong reminder to me that no matter what happens, life really is beautiful.

Thank you all so much for your comments here and your messages letting me know that you're praying for my friend. Give your loved ones an extra hug and kiss today.

Sometimes it's just so hard...

Yesterday a very sweet friend of mine lost her husband in a work accident. It's so horrible, and so sad...they have two children together (one of their boys is only three) and I just can't even imagine having to go through something like this.
So please, just hug your loved ones a little tighter and appreciate every day that you have together. Don't wait to do things that you want to together...give each other a million hugs a day and just let each other know that you *love* them.
And please remember my friend in your prayers, she needs God holding her hand through this.

Feeling a little tired :)

Aaron's wedding was absolutely beautiful, I have never seen him so happy :)
He and Traci are a beautiful couple! I am exhausted, I took about 500 pictures today and it was super hot outside :) But it was a beautiful day and I'm happy..I am off to get my baby girl to bed and get a shower :)

Tommorow's a special day....

For a couple of reasons...the first being that one of my best friends is getting married!! :) Aaron has been a really close friend of mine for 8 years, when we all used to work together at the grocery store together and took way too many breaks :) I'm so happy that he met Traci...I could tell from the first time I met her that they were going to get married, and well I was right! :) :)

I'm so happy that he found such a sweet girl to share his life with!

And the second reason is because tomorrow just happens to be me and Kevin's 5 year anniversary....Aaron and Traci are going to share our anniversary, down the the hour! hehe

It's going to be so much fun, Kevin is one of his groomsmen and I'm their photographer. So I'll have lots of pictures to share! :)

Vintage fabric goodness :)

A new customer of mine at work brought me the sweetest gift this week! :) She came through with these cuties sewn onto a shirt and I asked her if she made them, and told them that I could just see them on a scrapbook project. :) (We scrapbookers see our art form everywhere we look, don't we?) Just a few days later and she brought me a whole bag full of these! I think they look adorable with a button in the center :)

Random acts of kindness bring so much joy, I need to remember to do this kind of thing for more people!
